Wow $300 a week and that is running hard? When I first started with Swift I was running 2800 to 3400 a week almost every week.

Most of my checks where $600 to $800 with a few over $1000....

I'm sure I said this before, but I made 25 CPM in 1987. It's a shame what trucking has become. I know new drivers have to pay their dues, and the companies have to pay less to make up for what many new drivers tear up and mess up, but this is ridiculious.

when you consider what you are responsible for, being on time, producing a service involving delivery of high value loads, yes being paid .25cpm does nothing to retain drivers like myself. But like you said, we have to pay our dues. I know several other companies start out @.31 cpm. I am just waiting for the right time and getting my minimum experience IN to go somewhere else

$300 a week? maby in orientation, no... more than that per paperwork.
Gota say if all i could clear is that, i might as well stay home and draw unemployment.
you make more than that at min. wage job flippin burgers.
I'm thinking thats a little low.

Severedsoul, agreed. But I'm sure you would agree that driving a truck is far cooler than serving burgerking horse beef, coming home after work smelling like a fat whooper on crack. So yeah, 300 is low, but I have met some real cool people and have gained tremendous respect for the drivers out on the road. Also it's incredible to see the country and getting to experience something new everyday. So yeah I say Up yours to Swift for they (executives) are the dumbest dipsh*ts that have a 2nd grade understanding about retaining drivers by paying them .25cpm. 3 more months I am done with SWIFT (see welfare in fair time) :biggrin_25520:
