Follow me with Swift...

I need you to really chat with me because once I get done with the last 100hrs l have left ovet, my gf wants to ride with me for the summer, so chatting eith one eho has the same background will really help....

 

UPDATE:: Sorry this took so long to update, that just shows how busy l been, and boy haver l been busy. My mentor wants me to be done asap, so he have me driving 11hrs a day so that my 240 required hours will go by in 3wks. I must say Swift is a well organized company. Someone said, "Everything that glitters isnt gold". Well my respond to that post is, not all gold glitters. Times you may have to work thru the rust, and dirt before you can see the shine. Some people think that you suppose to become rich when you haven't done a thing.

I love it out here, maybe someone can help me out with advise. Iam so home sick, I drive myself crazy wondering if things are going good back home. I have heard over a hundred stories about wifes leaving their spouse because they can't handle the along time. Even my mentor has a break up story about his wife finding new love. I'm not married, but my girlfriend and l do plan on it. So what can l do to take my mind off this and focus on the road ahead? She always say that she's not going anywhere and I trust that, but its still hard.

I know this is a trucker site, not oprah so let me get back to my Swift followers. We have only been on the west region so far. I drove alongside the Columbia River and it was breathe taking. I love how when another truck passes you up and you signal that it's clear to pass, they flash the flashers as a thank you (not all, but most), and even if your from a different company other truckers still wave. It shows truck love. My only problem l incountered was at the Utah terminal, the bathroom is NASTY, I went off because there were racist words all over the walls. (not a truck stop, but a company terminal)

 

That's great hope all works well, just hang in there you'll love it. They have some great mentors. I sat in on one of the mentor classes and they make sure they put the best out there. I was assigned a mentor but two guys in my class met some mentors during the breaks and requested them and it happen. So maybe during training you'll meet one took may you like and he/she will be assigned to you. Most mentors will try to recuit you while you're on break. The walk around in their blue mentor shirts so you can notice them, but after they getyou on the truck you'll never see them in those shirts again..lol
