Keep the food outside in a bag in the winter no need for a fridge and pop the hood and cook on top of the engine lol

    Just food for thought here...
Thinking about an induction hot plate.
    Then... a carbon steel pan.
A good pressure cooker, cooks fast.
Shopping at farmers markets, or health food stores.

Haha thanks. It's kinda cheap eating but kinda clean also. I try stay away from too much unhealthy and processed food. Saves me money on top of that so can't beat it. Save money and eat better.
There's a lot one can buy. Wally's world takes care of me. I like buying there fresh loads of bread for a dollar. Soo good and priced very good. I buy big container of planters peanuts. Pretzels from Dollar general. Gallons of screw cap water. And I bring the jugs home. Fill em with ground water and I can easily.
I'd deffenitly encourage it. You should consider starting cooking in the truck. It's like setting it and forgetting it. 2 hrs later you pull over grab food and hit the road again.

I also use a slow cooker, 2qt rival I believe. My wife will can soup in pint jars. I put several folded paper towels in the bottom of the Crock-Pot add about an inch of water and put the jar of soup in, still sealed. It will heat in a few hours, remove open and pour into a bowl. This saves on liners which I use with other meals (roast beef etc.).
Th small crock pot uses 125 watts if memory serves me well. You can run one off most any inverter. You can also bake potatoes in one. Very versatile. I wrapped a bungee cord around mine and used a small one across the lid to keep it secure.

Look up the "5 Minute Chef" on google. I have had one for a few weeks, and it is the BOMB! You will need an inverter to operate it, but my little 1800 watt unit handles it easily. Cooks some great little steaks and eggs in a few minutes. Just wipe clean, not much bigger than your forearm, so it takes up little to no room in the truck. Well worth the $40.

    WesternPlains Thanks this.

keep lots of window and all purpose cleaner on hand. cooking in the truck can definitely grease up the interior, windows included.

Only if you have zero common sense. I cook in the truck almost daily and there isn't a bit of greasy residue on any surface in the truck.
