My 1st experience and hopefully my last. Got there Thursday evening with a P&G load. After standing in line for an hr waiting to check in,I finally got a door. Lumper had load off in about 30 minutes. My problem is the 2.5 hour wait for the bills to be signed.

typical wait time at D/C is 3-5 hours. In my short lived reefer career that was my usual wait time.

Ya seriously that isn't bad at all. I used to go there all the time and never got out in under 6 hours. If you are gonna pull food then you need to get used to long load and delivery times. It's just part of the job.

I went to this Food Loin in Disputana Va one trip and I had a 4pm appointment. Got there around 3pm checked in and it was midnight before I was ever told what door to back into. The sun was coming up the next morning before I ever got out of there.

It's these types of threads that make me glad to be a tanker driver
DannyB Thanks this. -
I went there a few times and never had problems. My brother lives there and I use to get that run to go see him. It was meat loads so the cold side might be handled a little differently.

Put me out of the reefer business.

You are lucky you had a lumper... They take longer if your lumper fee is prepaid.

Better develop some patience driver. Those kind of delays are not uncommon at all... in any segment of the industry. Hey tanker yanker... how long does it take to get a washout if the place is busy???
LOL!!!
