I just spent two days on the truck with my hubby. The timming was perfect, thank God I got off the truck when I did. I spent the next 5 days violently sick and still feeling the effects.
I ended up getting food poison. I wash my hands diligently when leaving the restrooms or before eating.
My best advise is pay attention to the enviroment!! Are the workers, and the working area clean looking? I looked over the net to tried and find better advice. Really its just a gamble. Other than that eat in the truck. God I wished I had!!
For anyone whos ever been there I feel your pain. And for those who've never experienced it, I'm wondering if I'll ever eat out again.:biggrin_2552:

Maybe there is a lesson in this. I loaded at the Phillip Carey Roofing Company, Lockland, OH, and ate in their company cafeteria. Food poisoning caught up with me within an hour. I think it was caused by the lukewarm ham and au gratin potatoes. They were closing the cafeteria as I went through the line. I was out of commission for about 24 hours, and weak for several days.

The first lesson is to avoid buffets and cafeterias. The second lesson is that hot foods must be hot when served, and cold foods must be cold when served. If they are not, do not eat them. I think that hand washing has more to do with viruses and less to do with bacteria.

I know what you mean DONNA!

I got food poisoning from eating baked FISH one time at a restaurant.

AND to this day I will not touch FISH..only salmon.

I just can't bare to eat it.

I was so sick, I wanted to die...just miserable stuff to have.:biggrin_2557:

I think my poison was chicken fingers. I can't stand the thought or the smell of it since. :biggrin_2559:
