Hi
Which Food service delivery companies (US Foods, Sysco, etc) pay the highest salaries, and in which locations. Is it possible to make $30/hr and more in this line of work?
Thanks in advance

When it comes to food service, you'll either get hourly or component pay (cases, stops, mileage).
I find the component pay more ideal since you can work less hours and still make good money.
I generally work 8-9 hrs a day m-f and still do 70k per yearBuffalonytrucker92 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this. -
Well last year I made $82K at GFS so I think that's pretty good, but it was also a lot of heavy loads and long routes and night work, so on and so fourth, but I didn't mind.Sirscrapntruckalot, Texas_hwy_287 and KullenTrucking Thank this.

I was at $26.26/hr with US Foods in the midwest, making around $65k for 45 hours of work in 4 days. Would have been pushing $90k if I worked the optional 5th day since it’s all OT at that point.
I wouldn’t expect to see $30/hr outside of a high cost of living area like Seattle or San Francisco, although it could be possible to make the equivalent if the location is on component pay and you complete your routes quickly (will take at least a few months of learning the products and customers before you get good enough to do it).Muttsley, KullenTrucking and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Component pay here, I just did the math on my route tonight and it should be over 35 an hour, but only because it's not my route and it will take me longer than it should.
I'm also not at top rate.Mike2633, speedyk and KullenTrucking Thank this. -
Which Food Service companies work 4 days a week??
-
Depends on the area and market there’s no company that I know of that works 4 days a week nationwide.
Heck some work 6-7 days a week
Ashendo and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
i think Republic National works 4 days, but you'd better be up for it.........
You WILL work your tail into the ground-----and for what?Ashendo, FlaSwampRat and Mike2633 Thank this. -
US Foods does 4 day weeks, but that’s if the location is fully staffed (which it won’t be).Ashendo, FlaSwampRat, Mike2633 and 1 other person Thank this.

I did at Sygma and do now at Kuna Food Service. That’s the main reason I enjoy doing food service. Only required 4 days of work.
