GSF went from hourly to component pay ( miles /stops/ pieces) in the late 1990's.
My pay increased $400 on a 3 day a week schedule out of the gate.
Without running like a crazy man I was still running at the 107k to 110k a year when I retired in 2011.
They changed from hourly pay to component pay because drivers were riding the clock for OT. They were paying anything over 8 hours a day as OT.
