For team driving does this offer seem kind of low?

    • $1200-1700 per week, depending on trucking experience, up to 70cpm. Averaging 4500 miles per week.
    • 2020 Freightliner Cascadia Automatics with GPS
    • No-Touch freight – just hook up, go, and unhook from FedEx terminal to terminal.
    • Layover Pay
    • Direct Deposit

$1500/4500 truck miles = 33 cents per mile!? Driving team!?

33 cpm for each driver for all miles the truck runs. You're paid 33 cpm for all miles you drive and you're paid 33 cpm for all miles your team driver drives.

It all depends on how much experience you have. When wife and I got into it two years ago we were making .52cpm and running about 5000 miles a week. After a year and a half we were getting offers from a few companies making $2100 each driver running lanes for a LTL company from terminal to terminal, off two days a week.

    Solo new driver can expect, I am guessing, 2800 miles * .$49/mile = $1344

Is my math wrong? The extra $150 a week hardly seems worth it for team driving. I thought that the income was supposed to be roughly doubled for team driving.

Unless you have no experience, gotta get some miles in before places will give you the big bucks.

Oh No i definitely agree with you. That's why we left our starter company. It was an amazing place to get started. But my wife and I knew we could make much more else where. It sucked leaving. But there were greener pastures and we made the switch.

Looking at it the other way, you are paid $1500 to drive 2250 miles. $.66 per mile is not horrible money...assuming you can sleep in a moving truck. Terminal to Terminal linehaul also means no messing with shippers, receivers, brokers and lumpers. You will never need to worry about finding truckstop parking either.
