Applied today for schneider at the GATS in dallas i talked to a few of the recruiters and they told be about the same thing as i was already expecting them to say...
although they did say that they could guarantee a home run, regional or local position for me since i really dont want to be OTR for 3+ weeks at a time with only 2 or 3 days at home, can anyone verify this as being true?
and if it is, is the guarantee written into the contract or anything like that?
or are they just blowing smoke up my ### to try to get me to sign?

I live in dallas, tx... just a few miles from where they do their training at.

Recruiters are like lawyers. If their gums are flapping they are lying.
Nothing is guaranteed unless its in writing!!! -
yeah i know the recruiters are nothing but used car salesmen... tell you all the good and none of the bad, and they lie out of their buttcracks to get you to sign a piece of paper and sign your life away
I already told the recruiters while i was at GATS, i am going to want EVERYTHING in writting, and i want their signatures, positions, titles, date, and time on it and that i want several copies of it before i will sign any contract. -
You won't get it.
If you do I'll be greatly surprised. Recruiters don't like to be forced to what they promise. -
if they wont do it then i wont be signing anything, its as simple as that. -

I have been looking at Schneider also Brian..
Keep us posted on what happens.
Thanks.

We had some SNI recruiters in about 2 weeks ago and here is what they said;
We simply cant promise you that you will get the runs you want or the milage. Milage depends on your runs. We have the option to move you to a differant run if we need to. Trucks are "slip seated" depending on the runs. Also home time can vary and if any other recruiter tells you that they can gurantee "home run" or a specific time when you get home or the total number of days, they are telling you a bold faced lie. No recruiter should make a promise to you ever no matter what company he represents.
After hearing a lot about SNI (mostly negative) I could at least respect this guy for being "honest" on some key points.
I dont think SNI is a good fit for me. I like their new pay scale but thats pretty much it. Right now, I am looking more at USXpress.
