    True. But one question for the OP, what kind of Bulk Trailer are you looking at? I think that is going to dictate some of the answers you receive here.

    Depends on the commodity. Some items are rate per ton only ( fuel s/c) included. Some aren't. Some items you rate per gallon. With this, you must establish a minimum load size.

    Lots to learn my friend. Depends on the customer too. Best way to establish rates is find out what your cost are. Then you at least have a starting point.

    Truck New or Used = .25 CPM
    Trailer New Or Used = .08 CPM
    Driver Wages = .40 CPM
    Insurance = .10 CPM
    Maintenance = .10 CPM
    Fuel @ 6 mpg = .60 to .80 CPM
    Detention = $100/Hr
    Tarp/Load/Unload = You better get on your hands and knees & Pray I don't do it...
