I can eat, drink and adjust the radio and I’ve never been messaged or called about it.
I don’t really eat or adjust the radio/temperature controls while driving though, it’s too dangerous in my opinion.
For those who have mandatory driver facing cameras?

I feel sorry for you. Been there, quit. Told the owner I'd stay if I could install and control a camera in her bedroom. She declined my offer. I moved on to a better job.
Kenworth6969, Trucker Paul and 201 Thank this. -

DannyB above is right -- if your job is making you miserable, you really need to move on to another job.
This Forum can help you A LOT with that. It's a good group of helpful drivers here.
Tell us your experience level, types of freight you've pulled, what endorsements (if any) you have, your needed hometime interval, & your zip code (or nearest city/state). Of course -- also give us the freight type(s) that interest you....

There will always be jobs driving day cabs. Everyone’s main argument about the cameras is invasion of privacy because the truck is their home and all that. So that would lead me to think that they’d be fine with them in a day cab since they’ll be going home or to a motel at the end of their shift.

How much footage is a company legally able to see? Like supposed to be no more the 10 seconds before or after a event right?

No one quite knows how much memory those cameras have, but these days memory is pretty cheap. -
Peplow Thanks this.
