    ...why do you regret?

If you could go back what you do instead?

Although JUST graduated and doing my drive test/piss test/company physical on Monday with a carrier, and not a "trucker" yet, I do have a thought for this thread.

...And the thought just left. Darn it. I hate it when I see that frigg'n picture, Rerun. Do a guy a good and remove it, won't ya!! :biggrin_2556::biggrin_2556::biggrin_25513:

I don't totally regret it. I started in early 2008 and it's given me a job through some insane economic times. It's not all bad either. I mean there are days when things are going smoothly and it can even be pleasant cruising down the interstate with listening to the radio.

I am kind of tired of it though it just consumes so much time and sometimes get to many short notice priority deliveries in a row. It's frustrating getting a dispatch that was to be picked up 2 days ago. Also staring at the road for 11 hours can become excruciatingly boring.

But if I could trade and try something else? Generally I wish I could have a job that required some kind of challenge or problem solving. Doing some kind of repair work interests me. It could be working on computers or maybe something more mechanical like HVAC heating and cooling.

HVAC itself could also possibly lead to travel opportunities. But hopefully wherever I went I could actually visit instead of buy a nice postcard at the nearby Pilot.

Only reason i regret it is because of the addiction it created in me. Cant stay away from it, yet when I'm in it, I hate all dispatchers, 4-wheelers, DOT, etc, and swear they are trying to kill me.

I'm never going to be happy. :biggrin_2559:

About the only real regret is that I have yet to find a decent company that fits my needs and I theirs...I enjoy driving and all that comes with it ...even the bad....
