Hello everyone. I'm new to the site and figured I would ask a question or two.
    Quick background -
29yrs old. Rode otr with D&M Frymiller out of OKC way back when for about a year, but was to young to drive so just did nav. and unloaded at each stop for cash.
Between 18 and 22 I did some dumb stuff and picked up a few hits on my background and did a prison stent as well. (Never a drug or alcohul charge) Since, all has been clean.
I have not had my license for aprox 6 years due to suspension because of a lawsuit judgement. (Not obtaining to drugs nor alcohul)

I am getting my license back in a few months, and have been dying to get back out on the road. Now, I know that there are a TON of companys that are not going to hire me, but I'm more worried about any that might. I plan on making call after call to any that are listed and hire out of Ohio, but I was hoping that anyone here might know of any? I'm really looking at Swift and I want to start as a team otr driver with someone I know, but I don't know how possible that will be. I am also unable to get my record expunged from what every lawyer has told me, although it's never been taken to court...

Any advice would be great, and thanks in advance.

I'm new to trucking and have a question. I got my CDLs on Dec. 5th. I have had two companies turn me dow or put me on hold as they put it. No reason they would give me. I do know I have 2 tickets on my record the last one back in 09. Is there any companies that would consider me?

That depends on what kind of tickets are they? Most companies won't take you if you have a reckless driving citation. Some even won't if you have a following too closely ticket either.

The biggest problem withDAC if thats their name now is companys are using it as a weapon of revanage, that is why this site started, that is why DAC is in court battles. They make it sound easy to get your yearly free DAC report but I've never gotten one, The courts said DAC had to come up with a way to have drivers dispute/ resolve issues but I doubt it will be easy. GOOD LUCK, God Bless and keep Christmas HOLLY

Got my record completely dismissed. Went to driving school. graduated top of the class. Went and got my CDL with very few points dropped during tests. Went to Employment office the next morning and got a ticket for crossing a double yellow line leaving the office. Not marked, couldnt see the lines from the intersection. Going to fight it and feel I will win but court isnt for two months and every company says they wont hire me with a pending moving violation....any advice on what to do. I really need to get to work. Christmas is gonna suck this year....:biggrin_2557:

If your crossing a dbl yellow line in a car thats scary. Why didn't you stay on your side of the road? If you can't see the line why did the cop give you a ticket. Did you take pictures of the road. Something isn't adding up. I can't imagine a cop giving a ticket for a line you can't see.:biggrin_2556:
