Not necessarily true. I had a felony 12 years ago and it haunts me to this very day. Reason: I used a motor vehicle during the commision of the felony. I bought a stolen car unknowingly and got caught with it. Grand Theft Auto according to the wording of the law. My choice was take the plea bargain and the felony on y record and 210 days in the county jail or do three years in the state pen. That offense has been dismissed from my record but still shows on my H-6 (driving) record.....

You still have to list things that you don't have points for anymore right? I have no points on my record. I did have a speeding ticket last year, however I received no points for it. I still have to disclose all that tho or not?

Also, had a careless (not alcohol related) back in 05 will that affect my chances of getting hired?

Yes u do have to list everything.Commpanies look at 3 things on your application,MVR,DAC REPORT AND CSA SCORES.That reckless ticket you got is old enough that companies will not tarnish your chances of getting hired.

A few pages back a poster stated that you receive a new Drivers License number when you get your CDL......Is this true ? Just curious.

False, unless you go work for someone like Stevens Transport, It's my understanding they make you get a Texas License for training (students)
once you get your truck and sent home, you then can get a license from your state.. I "THINK" then you would be given another number, I'm not 100% sure

But no if you go and get you CDL from your own state, you keep the same number, they will just add an the endorsement

    Be safe !!

I didnt know you could have the dmv erase older points and accidents off your dmv record i had stuff on there since 2001... Call the dmv mandatory action unit in your state and see what you can have taken off guys.

If you have a CDL nothing can be removed.

False! Your DL# stays with you for life. They just change the class. I moved to IL and held an IL CDL for 5 years. Then when I moved back to TN and got the same CDL # I had before. It's tied in with your SSN.

Nothing can be removed, but points expire. Point suspensions are grouped like the past 1-3 years depending on the state laws. But one can't hide their past. Also, most expungement state laws I know of exclude traffic violations.
