Why do you think clean driving records are important to truckdrivers?

I understand why they are important, Not a moron as you so quickly assumed by your reply. I asked a question. In a forum for beginners. It was not a stupid question. Pretty simple in fact. Thanks for jumping on the urge to bash. No can someone just answer the question without the attitude?

If you don't have your cdl yet go take defensive driving so you can get that off your record. Once you have a cdl it's like herpes lol. Can't ever get it off

It may be nothing more than the companies insurance not wanting to take you in. I wouldnt read too much into it.
I actually had the displeasure of sitting in an orientation while 2 head office people reviewed apps. I was the only one watching videos, and they spoke freely about drivers.
It was pretty disturbing how they gave thumbs up,or down with little or no reasoning.
If your teaming, and you only have one ticket, your golden.
YOU should be the one being choosey

If its over 3 years old it shouldnt give you much trouble getting a job...Check your own MVR & see whats on there...If they ask back 5 years mention it....If they ask back 3 years dont mention it...
