. It is a controlled medication and it is used to take addicts off usually pain meds but it is also used for heroin withdrawal it is by prexcription only and it has to be a chemical dependancy Dr it is very addictive also. If taken in conjunction with pain meds it renders the pain meds ineffective since it has narcan in it and that's what we gave in the hosp to stop morpine and other med withdrawals. Probably more info than u wanted but that's it.

if they test for it. I believe it is not on a standard 5 panel test. who knos I think the best thing to do is just try to get off of it before..gonna have to do it sooner or later.
-
Yes it will but the other person is correct it depends upon which test is done. you can always go to walmart and buy a test one does 5 and i believe the other one does 15. But from what i understand from reading dot regulations you cannot take any controlled substance and drive. now on your days off that;s another story. i happen to be a nurse and did some reading for my husband and i remember in the hospital drivers really got upset if we put them on insulin because you can take pills but not be insulin dependant. do you currently take this med. If you do remember it does have some withdrawal symptoms . It is either clas 2 or 3 i don't remember. Hope this helps.

I have a question. I had a "hold" put on my DL back in 2007. Those hold was for failure to pay and failure to show for court on a few tickets. The hold stated that I could not renew or renstate my dl until all fines were paid. the local county court informed the DMV to put the hold on my DL. So it comes up as "suspension". Due to the huge amount of the fines I am just now paying them off and tomorrow I will go to to the court and dmv so I can get my dl back. My question is, do companies look at the date of suspension (2007) as to qualify if you fall into the no suspension in x amount of time... or do they go by the date that I get my dl back? The company I want to go with says no suspension with in 3 years. What do you guys think?

I've had some legal questions on other threads and figured I should ask here as well. I have 2 DUIs under 5 years. Got the court minutes from that and was told I was not convicted of it. The second one I received an Article 894 and in the process of getting it expunged. I also went to the DMV and purchased my MVR. Nothing is on my record except a speeding ticket in 2011. How does the trucking industry look like for me? I can't for the life of me find reliable information on the internet. Has the Article 894 kept my DUI off my MVR? Will the expungment benefit me at all? My days are filled with excitement thinking about getting into trucking but it usually wiped away when reality sets in and I realize this dream may be something I'll never be able to obtain. Thanks for the info, sorry to those that have already seen my questions, just wanted ask here as well.

Ok, your questions are specific to the state in which you are licensed. Your official driving record is the only thing that counts for most companies however many are looking at arrest & conviction records. You should speak with a public defender (no-cost) and see if there is anything on your criminal history referencing a DUI incident where you may have been charged but not convicted. You need to look good to an employer by your legal "footprint".

I did a search for Louisiana criminal background check and found the site at http://ibc.dps.louisiana.gov/ that the Louisiana State Police have for getting a background check done. You will need to register for an account before you can get your background and there may also be a fee to pay.
I do not have a full understanding of Article 894 but from what I have read it seems that it allows you to plead guilty to the charges and then they have the conviction set aside, the sentence suspended, and they put you on probation (this is why it does not show on your MRV). You then need to stay out of trouble for 10 years and if you do the record is whipped clean. In exchange for the guilty plea and probation they let you get your drivers license back. As you said it was within 5 years I would imagine that it will show on your record still. As the Article 894 is a kind of bargain you made with the prosecutor I doubt that you can get it expunged, it sounds like it is an automatically expunged after 10 years. I am no lawyer though so I would just get your criminal background check done and go from there.
