For those of you with low Air sensor problems on a FLD Freightliner. There are two pressure switches behind the steering shaft right behind the carpet. they are mounted on the Air manifold. Both pressure switches should have a Red stripe on them, one is for secondary and one is for the primary pressure, if one fails or unplugs it will sound the alarm. If you have to replace the switch make sure its either "NO" for normally open or "NC" for normally closed. Many trucks use normally Closed Low air switches. If you ask for a normally open they might tell you its only for a stoplight switch or they dont exist. I spent most of the day yesterday argueing with fleetpride and a local truck part auto parts AND the dealer. they told me they only make "NC" for low air switches. I find alot of people make the mistake of buying a different switch than specified for low air and they troubleshoot other areas. Im just posting this here so you guys and gals know there are two types go in a freightliner. KEEP THE DIRTY SIDE UP HAHAHAHA My truck uses normally open from the manufacturer (freightliner) so they DO exist. and they cost only $7.48 per switch
