Just bought a 2006 Pete with a c-13 twin turbo. Dumb question but does this motor have an egr? Someone told me that the 2006 c-13 if it were accert which mine is doesn’t have an egr? I was told cats accert technology is what they did to not use egr’s? Is this factual? If it does have an egr, Im wanting to do that forbidden word that starts with a D to it. Any info?

Cat and EGR are non existent until 2008 and after.
-
The non dpf c13s dont have an egr valve. They do have exhaust gas recirculation (egr) with the Acert 'technology'.
-
The cam profile used overlap to dilute the intake stroke with exhaust backflow ... IE internal EGR without a valve.
This is part of the junk that killed ACERT for most people.
Regrind cam fixes the overlap problem. -
From personal experience. The C13 is a cat turd.Eats turns and barely makes 500k without major problems.
