    Actually I think he said $27.50.I had an interview awhile back that's how I know.May not seem like much to you but here that's dam good money.

    I spoke to a few drivers while getting interviewed.They work hard no doubt about that.I applied for a residential driver.You have 75 stops a day and must know all the addresses within 3 days.

    Lets do some arithmetic. Lets say I cut back to 62mph. At 68 I can run about 400 more miles per week than I can at 62. That equates to 456$ in revenue. You think I'm burning an extra 456$ in fuel per week running 68? No I'm burning about 150$ extra. Running slow only pays if dispatch is going to have you sitting. Running my 70 out as fast as I do it pays to go fast.
