I'm out here to make money. I'm not here to watch reruns of law and order at the T/A or fart around on the truckers report. I drive 11 sleep 10 and do it again. Otherwise I would literally die of boredom. I go to the truck stop to fuel shower and remind myself why i maintain my weight at 175#s. I see you 2200 milers in there. You disgust me really. Sorry

The screenshot of your daily on duty times disagrees with you, but let's not let facts disrupt your story. It's your story, after all, tell it how you want.

My truck hasn't spent a night at a truck stop in months. If anything I'll stay at walmart.

Dot loves my logs and so does my pay. I suppose you spend hours on duty everyday?

Not really. But I'm not talking down to people who don't run as hard as me, either. I save my 70 so "I" can run harder, not to be a dick and talk crap. "Most" people running 2200 miles a week are doing it because it's all they can get, not because they're lazy.

I feel you on that most are at the mercy of dispatch. However saving your 70 is doing yourself a disservice. Dispatch isn't good enough to manage your 70. You're going to end up sitting. It's better to get it while you can and hope your sitting on an empty clock and not on recap

All those miles, not a single 45-55 speed limit. Orange cones mean anything to you?

I save my 70 so I'm not running out of hours on the way home. I'm averaging 2500 miles a week, sometimes (rarely) as much as 3300, but most importantly, I have a good work/home balance, and I'm content with my income. If I need a little extra money, I'll request one of the longer runs, additional local work, or just volunteer for extras. I refuse to live on the road, that's just where I work.

I'm out here to make every nickel I can. Every single nickel and if I can get one of your nickels that too. But that just me. Also this is questions for new (need money) drivers. Not drive 8 hours a day content with $1500 buck a week drivers.

What's with all the hate for the OP.
He's an OTR driver that gets paid by the mile.
He's making his money, that's what we're out here for.

Would you rather have 3300 miles in 5 days
Or 2000 miles. His week is about done.
While most of you are still chasing your paycheck
    He's already got his.

He can kick back and relax on his reset.
I run just like him, but I park at a truck stop everyday.
I don't do rest areas and off ramps.

Good job OP make that money.

BoostedTeg, TripleSix and Lepton1 Thank this.
