Correct, dispatch gives you your load and you go. I've run both forced and non forced dispatch and really don't have a problem with forced dispatch. To each his own.

True true, i have never ran under forced dispatch so its all new to me, i am not sure how strict they are on it.
Most places i have been wont force you to go where you are uncomfortable

If you are being paid by the mile, it should not be a problem where you go.

We all have places we would rather not go, trouble is freight still needs to be delivered to those places. At times you just have to bite the bullet and take a load somewhere you do not want to be.

You answer an ad for a driving job, you get hired to driver their truck, they have freight to Maspeth Queens on their truck driven by their employee, you go. The following week you have a load of material needed for the new Freedom Tower in lower Manhattan, you are dispatched on that load, you go. See how it plays out? The only way out of forced dispatch is to buy your own truck.

Oh that's my plan to become a L/O our O/O
I have no real issues with it, just taught it was a thing of the past, never ran under it before like i said
In my opinion mile = money
