forced hazmat endorsement!?!

And this is the opnion of someone who has driven for how many years? Try it you might like it.

 

My FM suggested that I get the ball rolling in the January timeframe- or else I won't be able to haul the radioactive Tyson prepackaged chicken filets.

 

Talked to my old company-side FM today. No one is being "forced" to get a hazmat permit, although it's being "suggested strongly" it would be a good idea. Prime will be pulling more hazmat going forward. In fact it's been policy since '09 that everyone should have their hazmat endorsement, although it's not been enforced. He also said, that they're looking at making sure all new hires get it.

 

The USDA recently decided it was okay to import chickens from china sooo... you mighti be on to something there.

 

I guess you could say they nuke themselves

 

I was wondering about that...oh well, I got the nys hazmat book to study for a while anyways, hoping to get out to springfield to visit the TWIC office there, I was impressed by the Pittston terminal, and seems like I got a good dispatcher, was able to get home to grab more of my gear....
