Forced to break 34 hr rule

Discussion in 'Trucking Industry Regulations' started by dougs5300, Jan 10, 2015.

  1. My brain hurts, you need... no I insist you read the green fmcsa book. And write a 2000 word essay on it.
    I agree ,

Any way we can go back to the early 80's and drive?

I know a guy, he has been in the patch for years. He had to take a load from Wy to Tx. He got 7 days logs together and headed out. Delivered his load and was headed back to Wy. He got stopped in Co, they checked his logs. The inspector is shaking his head. Driver says what's wrong?

Inspector says, it's been a while since you have been out on the road. The guy was logging 10 hrs with 8 hrs break. The logs were perfect for 1985. The old inspector just let him redo his logs and sent him on his way.

Sounds like one of these truck school wonders I here at truckstops that enjoy taking 34hr resets on the road for no reason, then complain they can't make any money.

This has to be the funniest thread I've read in a long time. What the hell are they teaching the newbies these days?

Why is this thread still alive? Lmfao.

34hr reset is optional, not required.
