HEB contractor co. Doing what HEB does during hurricanes. They move essentials during bad weather so the hit areas have what they need. They are Red Cross and Food bank suppliers. I’ve done this a few times. Fun times. No job will be lost.

Yep. And Im pretty sure Ive seen that truck before. I do a lot of S Tx and see the same trucks over and over. I wish I could've seen a name or dot #.

HMR trucking out of El Campo owned by Henry Rodriguez does some of it.
There is also a contractor that took on HEB’s Parkway Transport deal. I cannot think of the name right now. -
He was northbound so he was probably empty heading back to San Antonio. Dusk on the 25th was when the hurricane made landfall and he was only about 20 miles from there. The winds were hitting him crosswise. Who drives into that especially with an empty trailer?

Is what he did any different then driving through Wyoming?

So, you're saying as long as there's a hurricane a truck driver has license to drive through any weather condition as long as there're supplies to be delivered? I would think that the Red Cross has enough supplies to last the 12 hours that a hurricane might take to make landfall and pass through and that trucks wouldn't be expected to drive through extreme winds and flooded highways. The liability that would be assumed for demanding a trucker to drive through dangerous conditions to blow over into a family in a minivan or a bus would be astronomical. I simply don't believe that a company would demand that a driver drive into a hurricane.

Probably not much... But I would imagine a hurrican keeps a higher sustained wind speed... Where as in WY it is usually only the gusts that can last a second to a minute that get you in trouble.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
