I've done it. Been a year. Maybe I'm lucky.

Most places I know of have a standard rate for detention and layover. roughly $250 layover and $25/ hour detention (give or take).... but it wouldnt hurt to try i guess as im sure if its a reasonable request it should at the very least be considered.

Why does TQL always harass the driver with ridiculous amount of phone calls?
I absolutely hate hauling for TQL, I'm guessing none of these TQL employees have been behind the wheel of a truck and knows the ins and outs of the business, TQL hardly ever pays detention time so why is that? -
I see you haven't had a 2 callback megacorp 1am phonecall.... That goes through the do not disturb
-
Here's a question for you.
What does tql pay for detention?
Do they give the entire rate of detention to the carrier or do they charge more and keep so much of it? -
From my experience, they do all they can not to pay detention.Last edited: Jan 27, 2022

Sometimes, depending on the broker. Some of them don't care to pay and others will find any reason not to pay. Again, depends on the person.
