I'm looking at water and possibly sand hauling, what FR duds do those drivers typically use? I see various kinds from cotton to nomex.
Seems to me that coveralls would make sense, just put them on when at the site.
Also, do composite toes comply with most companies?
FR gear, what works for drivers?

If you want your own Amazon has decent prices.speedyk Thanks this. -
I prefer coveralls just wear them on site and get rid of them when I leave. I've never had any problems with composite toes but I don't wear big steel toe boots I prefer twisted x driving Mocs in steel toe. Not all companies provide for gear even tho they should. Amazon has decent prices if you have to buy your own.

FR cotton. Nomex feels lighter and you would think it would be cooler in the summer but it's not.
Depends on what you're doing. If you're in and out of the truck all day getting in out of coveralls each time gets old.speedyk Thanks this. -
One more thing, some lease operators require reflective in addition to FR. Better to have reflective than not.

I bought a big carhartt jacket and put an fr reflective vest over it. No one has questioned it

Thank you! All my concerns answered.
Company disp. I talked to says they don't provide. I saw the reflective stuff on Amazon and thought, some safety dept is trying to one-up.
Maybe see some of you out there somewhere. -
Try this site: FR Workwear
When its cold most places relax their standards on fr -
A lot of people are mentioning reflective clothes I recommend you just pick up a vest. If you're buying your FRCs outta pocket keep in mind that reflective material on clothes could add $10-20 each and most sites I've been to do not require it.
