Most load times are 15 minutes. When there is wait time, unloading, it’s normally under three hours (I think that’s why they agree to pay after 4). I might get wait time once a month and even then it’s not much. Dispatch will have you chassis out if they know it’s going to last.
My loads normally pay me $244-286. You might ask how many loads his drivers get a week and at what rate. An extra 2% is only $5 a load difference. I could be wrong, he could have something I don’t. I would guess $1500 is a more reasonable average, in our area, with the occasional $2000 if it’s not your truck.

112.80 per load

Colorado Sandbox doesn’t pay like other areas. But they can be more consistent than other areas. ND Sandbox pays crazy rates but lately hasn’t been consistent. Run crazy a few days then sit a few days.
If you get $100 a load and can do 3 a day consistently in 15 hours or so and be in Colorado id even go for that.
West Virginia sandbox pays roughly $500 a load for the truck owner and is very consistent 3 loads a day or better. Downfall is runs can be long and a lot of hills making fuel cost and engine wear higher -
How long does it take to unload a load of sand?
-
It’s a sandbox. A forklift takes the box off the container chassis then puts an empty on. About 15 minutes in and out
Sometimes you’ll get to the location and they do not have any empty boxes, so you have to wait till they do. Can be 30 minutes or longer depending on how many trucks ahead of you. I waited 6 hours yesterday for them to bring the well back up and get an empty boxRugerfan Thanks this. -
Interesting. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those before.

Even dumber question here, if sand is on a chassis, then what do they use the pneumatic tanks for?
-
It’s been around for awhile. Really started replacing pneumatic lately because OSHA is changing the sand dust rule to how much dust workers can be exposed to.
