Can someone give me their frame width for a Freightliner Classic? Mine is a 2000 but 1994 -2004 are all the same. I can't get to mine tonight and am trying buy a headache rack. This rack measures 33.5 inches outside to outside of frame plates.
Thanks

I've never seen any differences in headache racks, I thought all trucks were the same or close enough that it doesn't matter.

I hope you're right. Thanks

I'm with Oscar on the width

Width seems to be pretty standard. My KW is about 33-3/4" outside to outside IIRC. I know my uncle had a headache rack he used on 3 different trucks and it fit all 3 just fine.

My first rack that I bought was one of those cabinet ones that had the mounting plates welded to the underside and slid down the outsides of the trucks frame rails. That rack was bought new by ATS and put on a FL, friend of mine bought and put it on his PB, I bought it from him and put it on a KW.

The frame width on a 2000 classic is 33.5 inches.

The only difference is volvo which is a bit wider.

Thanks everyone. Looks like it works then.

I thought they changed by a fraction somewhere around '97. Reason so the FLD was the same frame width as the craptury, craplumpia, crapscrapia and crapanado.
Long as it's the u-bolt mount should be no biggie.
Mine's custom made and bolts through the web of the rail. Those big U-bolts are so cheezely lookin'.areelius Thanks this.
