You won, got under the truck yesterday and saw coolant leaking out from the hose that run from air compressor to fuel filter part number A4712002252. It's probably leaking from the O-ring in the quick disconnect coupler on the air compressor end, I ordered both hoses and will see how fun to replace them it doesn't look too bad other than getting soaked in coolant.

Order the fittings also. The only times I’ve seen those fittings leak, it was actually the fittings had corroded out.
truckdriver31, shatteredsquare and ast26909 Thank this. -
Yes, it would be fun to remove the hose then find out the fitting has to be replaced
truckdriver31 and shatteredsquare Thank this. -
If metal coolant fittings are leaking, can you just tighten them down?
truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
Post a picture, so we can see the fitting.
I have a feeling your Freightliner truck has an o-ring on the coolant fittings. The coolant fittings I’ve come across were made out of plastic and had an o-ring on them. You can tighten the fitting a little, but the leak is probably coming out of the damaged o-ring or hose itself.Last edited: Apr 17, 2020

Takes just a few minutes to replace those two coolant lines? You obviously learn your crap from reading a book.

I have the same problem with my 2015 freightliner cascadia single cab. I found that it’s one of the lines going to my def tank. I bought my truck with the dpf deleted or a def bypass done on it. So the def tank hasn’t been used in 2years. can I just get rid of the lines without a problem?

Yes you can.
