i have to drive this day can rental Freighiner Cascadia. The truck has 2 good qualities and everything else about it is bad. Two things off the bat if I owned a trucking operation I would never buy anything Freightliner and I would never buy any automatic transmission made by Eaton Corporation. Eaton Corporation makes the worst automatic transmission on the market they always have and they always will there auto transmissions are garbage and Eaton knows there garbage, but that's besides the point.
I don't know if there's a difference the rental truck I have is pretty bare bones I don't know if the Casscadias OD has are little bit better then base model. But this Freightliner is so absolutely fatiguing to drive there's like zero room at all to streatch my legs and after a while that makes you tired I've never been so beat before just from driving 8 hours and my legs are all just bunched up and feel like rubber bands. Never felt that way in the Volvos. I'm going to move the seat back a notch maybe that gives me more room but I don't know the ergonomics of these Freightliners are not good.
Now I have heard the sleeper can trucks are roomier and not as cramped. For like a city pedal route the Casscadia is fine but for like more truck load stuff those Casscadias are hard to drive for a long time without having to get out and streatch your legs.

Dang..wish I could help, man. I drove that rented Intertrashional last month and had to stop by the house to have the wife do the parked regen. I'm so out of the loop with y'all's modern stuff....when I have to learn, I might just blow YOU up, I have no idea. Scary thought.Mike2633 Thanks this.

The trick is nobody actully really knows how these new trucks work.
They come brand new from the dealer already broke down and malfunctioning. We have an entire warehouse lot full of 2017 Volvos that are all plagued with malfunctioning electronics.Dave_in_AZ, austinmike and G13Tomcat Thank this. -
Sheesh.....I'll stick to the Pete that I know needs Turbos replaced before too long, and everything else I can work on, LoL. NO CLUE. Sorry, bro.Mike2633 Thanks this.

Am 6'4 and the seat in mine is just over half way back. To each his own. I do not like the Vovlo layout . Pete and KW feel like need to turn sideways .

First , what brand seat is it? Most have like a towel bar sticking out the front couple of inches down from the seat cushion .for some reason mine you have to adjust standing outside.

Never drove one of these. Thanks for the warning.

That's funny. I've always thought I had more leg room in the Shakers. All about what you're used to I guess. Our trucks are as basic as they come, so I can't help you there.
We've been singlehandedly giving Safelite auto glass a record year replacing leaky windshields on our 2017's.Mike2633 Thanks this. -
I'm an entire foot if not more shorter then you. I don't know the seat brand. Cheap is what the seat brand is. I'll move it back some see if that helps.

I don't have any issues with mine but I drive with the seat most of the way up. I'm 5 10 with pretty short legs.
Mike2633 Thanks this.
