I have an 07 Coronado with pealing / flaking / bubbling paint. Anyone else out there with this problem? Heard a truck stop rumor (yea, I know) that Freightliner made a deal with paint / primer supplier to fix this issue. Anyone else heard of this or have details?

Is this a new truck or did you get a second hand truck with some miles? Is it possible prior owner slipped on some cheap paint to make the truck look good for a better trade in?

Freightliner has had issues with this for years. I bought my 2003 Century brand new and it started having paint issues within 2 years. Best info I found is that the primer on the aluminum was not a good etching primer. My truck was beyond the paint warranty when I had a chance to take it in. Seems like they would have corrected the problem by 2007, but I guess not.
