Freightliner Park Smart Apu Heat works for 30 min after truck shut off then quits

    We run the parksmart apu on our trucks. I have noticed after 30 min the heat stops after truck is turned off. I have check all batteires. The air still blows but the heat quits. What is the fix to this. Could it be heater core?

    Does this have auxiliary diesel fire water heater? I don't have much first hand experience with troubleshooting the Park Smart but would like to learn. If you would post the last 6 digits of your VIN we get you more accurate information.

    When's the last time the heater was serviced? We usually get 1 to 2 years before they need to be gone through. Little screen in the combustion chamber gets crappy and it wont tun.

    Knock on wood, ours is working like a champ. It heats the block too. 10 degrees outside, water temp in block is 150.
