It's a 3/16" plate, with a single 90* bend on the bottom. Fit to the outside of the frame. The side goes all the way to the top.

    Yes...........

I have to open it up again when it warms up to paint it with POR 15. I'll take pictures then.

Mechanic worked on it for 6 hours.

I opened it up and closed it up to save labor.

I purchased all the parts and he ordered them.

    I don't expect it over $600.

Total cost should be under $1000. Bolts alone for all gr 8 stuff was $50.

So this POR 15 stuff, just looking at it online, never heard of this stuff. I assume this stuff stops rust dead in its tracks? Does it come in the aerosol can or does it come in a regular paint can? I got some rust on my frame rail trying to find something to stop this stuff from ruining the frame.

    I learned of POR15 from www.yotatech.com

Folks there are using it on their frames in both brush and aeresol forms.

I personally have never used it yet, but the results that folks were showing there, convinced me when the time was right, I'd use it.

I think that time is now.

Can you put it right over rust or do you have to clean the frame up before you put it on?
Where do you purchase this stuff at? I have never seen this stuff before.
