Very interesting. However speed is meaningless if there is no service. T mobile used to be one of the worst for coverage but apparently they are improving.

As far as my cell my the Alltel straight talk can't be beat. Mobile hotspot wise T-Mobile has been great.

Yes. I've been watching them climb over the last year. (T-Mobile) Quite a bit actually. Their coverage was abysmal, but they have invested big-time in their infrastructure lately. Using the OpenSignal site I am seeing that they are now coming in 2nd in coverage to Verizon these days in most areas. I think that it is reasonable now to place them as a lower cost actual contender to the big V, although important to note that there are places where V has coverage and they have none still.

    Everybody has been improving.

I'm seeing a big difference in coverage between my old verizon note2 and new s6.
And more coverage with my old sprint note2.

Only thing important to me is 4g coverage.
And as long as I can stream HD video I'll be happy.
I do not have problems with that on VZW.
Some seem to have different experiences but I can't comment on others experiences.

My Verizon 20 gig shared "special for 6 months" ran out recently and the 20 gig dropped to 10 and this was not enough to get me through a month. So went online and looked around a bit and there was an option to change to a new plan, which kept my price for the 2 devices the same and with 18 gig/month (unlimited talk/text)

Verizon LTE is a great data service in most markets, and is widely available. Every now and then you'll find LTE service that runs like 4G but it's not often and usually in remote rural or mountainous areas like across Montana/Washington

According to verizon. LTE is new technology for them. When i first got my s6. I had very piss poor coverage. And i couldn't surf the net while on the phone. When i called customer service. They explained it's a new LTE. And that i needed HD voice calling turned on. Now i've got better coverage and can surf while talking.

AS for HD video. That crap will eat your data allowance in nothing flat. I"m not giving verizon $700 just to get me by. NETFLIX streams just fine by changing the setting from 7gigs per hour HD to .3 gigs per hours standard stream. I can watch 25 hours vs. 1 hour. I'm not eating my allowance in one night either. And pic quality is no different on my laptop.

As often as I have posted it, figured it would stick but guess not.
I'm not in the business of counting my data. Actually I don't care. I try to get it as high as possible.

My point was.. As long as it's fast enough to stream HD video without interruption...I don't care if it's 2 times faster than that or 100 times.
And it's usually fast enough to do that.
