Exactly, don't forget the "business owner" is home for 3 days every 6 weeks at $700 a week. If that don't spell success I don't know what does.

You should really do you're homework. First off these are not cheap crappy fleet trucks like you are pricing. Go look up o/o spec'd pete 386 and 579s. The only thing sort of making then loaded is no leather seats. ( Unless of course you have won your bose seat from the company.) Oh and they need the box added to turn the 9 speed into a 13. They have 10 freightshakers as an experiment but they likely won't be there long and those are loaded and not for lease atm. The $700 was after all expenses. I will see if i can find mangy old contact and get the real numbers and the banks terms on that same truck.I don't remember the exact numbers, I just know I would have had a lower payment with the bank but stretched over a longer time and the interest was either just over or just under 10%. Why so high, because you are a new business owner and a much higher risk.I would have paid several thousand more through the bank and even the loan officer said as far as the price and amount after the loan, that that lease was a good deal and one he would be hard pressed to beat without having an excellent business track record of several years. So I suppose if your smarter than a banker and think the bank and Freymiller was ripping me off then you can come and finance the truck i am looking at right now and the world should be all rosy for me and I'll live happily ever after. I was calculating profit and loss on the farm as a kid, you can preach till the cows come home, but you can't tell me nothing about numbers that I haven't already went over for months. Just because you want to get on here and rant that all leases are bad doesn't make you smart. It just makes you one of the typical sheep followers of today's generation. Personally i don't jump on band wagons, I go out and find out for myself if something is good or bad and I don't say all jobs are bad just because i had a bad experience at one. I am smart enough to do better homework next and add the questions to avoid the mistakes of last time.

120k is market value for an O/O specced truck that is 3 years old?

Edit: $85k fully loaded 5 year old truck with 15k miles on it.

Took less than a minute to find on CL. I get you don't have the best credit and wanted to get your own truck. I've thought about it myself. But man, 200% of the value of your truck in interest is just... well, predatory to me. I'm not saying you can't be successful this way but most people who make the decision to jump into this kind of lease aren't because they are willing to make such a bad deal and it exposes the flawed decision-making that will haunt them the entire time they are trying to start. Then they come on here and complain about how bad everyone screwed them. :p

Dang... I was thinking about this company. They have a "restore" program and I'd need a refresher. Just wanna do the company driver thing to get my time in. (2 years)

I went 20 years since I last drove t/t. Granted, I was in a straight truck most of the time since then. AN Webber put me with a trainer, and I was ready in 8 days.

These days Freymiller has an excellent reputation. This thread is from 2009 which is 7 years ago.
