    A friend said he got back 16,000 in perdiem this year. Is this possible?? He is a trainer for Werner and made 82 k for the year.

    12 cents a mile for what? Im not a trucker. He said he takes his prediem at the end of the year. Can you really make 82k a year being a trainer and be home every weekend?

    according to their brochure you can make that "65K-100K" training.

    BTW the per-diem is paid at .12 cents per mile. i guess you could collect it all at the end of the year.

    I see, I went to their web site per diem adds up to 2,288.00 /yr at 44.00 a week. So I don't know where he got the other 13,700.

    At .12 a mile he would have had to drive 133,333.3333333 miles in 06 to get $16,900 in per-diem.

    It can be done, but you WILL NOT have much home time. I drove 130,000 miles in 05. That requires an average of 2600 miles a week for 50 weeks.
