I'm kinda late but. I've only been pulling a flat for a year but I can tell you the only place (other than jobsites where it's 15 of y'all) that is shippers which are few and and far in between. One that comes to mind is a steel plant in LA which I had a 1900 appt and didn't get loaded until 0400 the next morning. That place and moving crane parts from the jobsite where they're breaking it down at takes awhile but they usually help you chain their stuff down. Oh yea Ice grab a flat. More consistent

I didn't say getting a shower was difficult. I said finding good clean ones is. Christ there's only a whole thread dedicated to dirty truck stop showers on this forum.

So why is Mr Rank a Supertrucker?

I like to see a young man step up to the plate. I do. I like to see a young man buy his rig, start his business and make a name for himself. So many just follow the path of least resistance, and get chewed up and spit out by the megas. Then they wallow around and bellyache about their lot in life, like a bunch of overgrown helpless infants who cannot do anything to change their circumstances. So when a young man decides to take the plunge, buy his own rig, and pave his own way, I root for him and hope in his success.

Rank told you right, you don't Deserve anything and you will have to Earn everything.

"But Six, I deserve a clean shower!"

You are the person that made the choice to go to a place with filthy facilities. Instead f clamoring for change and drivers to stick together and make change, why not do your part and refuse to spend money in a scummy truckstop? Don't wait for "WE", do your part. If there's something you don't like, you change it. If you don't like it, yet you're still there, you are part of the problem, not the solution. If you don't like sitting at grocery warehouses for free, why are you still sitting at the grocery warehouse for free? Waiting for someone else to man up means that you yourself are not a man. If you don't like being punked out, quit being a punk.

One of the worst things that a person can do is tell someone that they're a heavyhauler and they're not.

    "But Six, I pulled a 130k lowboy..."

Don't. That was embarrassing. I had to hide my face in shame and laugh at the same time. Then you mentioned the free health care and pension. And the $19000 raise you get by pulling a box. I had to leave the restaurant and go back to the truck so that I could read it again without holding back the laughter. That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.

We get that all the time. The last time was at the lunch counter in Baytown, had a "driver" tell me that he used to heavyhaul for Heartland Express. I didn't call BS, just got a good laugh out of it. It starts with heavyhaul, then moves to the special forces, then the mansion in Colorado and the wild sex with Cindy Crawford.

Yeah but he's dating himself with that Cindy Crawford reference. Still not bad though. If he said wild sex with Joan Crawford that would really start me wondering.

    spyder7723 and whoopNride Thank this.
