Well, do to farm animal issue I am staying home this week. Which is a shame for when hubby makes it up to Michigan he signs the lease.

We did get the information on it though and it was way better that we thought. It is a 3 year loan. No money down no balloon payment. Total cost will come out to if I remember right 35,000. As I have mentioned under hood everything is either new or been rebuilt when we got it with no miles on engine but what we have put on.

We have been looking into comfort and cosmetic changes. Such as new seats, his is a Legacy Sliver but worn out. We are wanting something no fabric because of the dogs. Long hair dogs and fabric don't mix. LoL. First will be led headlights though. Present ones work but only well on clear nights. If it's raining you just can't see at all. We need to get hood covers for lights too to help with that. Hubby was going to get fog lights but since that meant new bumper plus fog lights and still new headlights , it was not worth it. Going with the led highest allowed should take care of it. Plus they have a 7year warranty. Yes they are costly but good headlights at night are a Must when on many state roads. So they will be the first buy when taxes come in this year.
Next buy will probably by a APU. To cut out idle time. Luckily farm income should be coming in again by then with babies born and being sold. That will take off that expense for the rest of the year and we might have some left over to help buy that Apu.

You all be very safe out there. Holiday drivers are crazy.

Well, so things are going well real well. Hubby on second load already had 1000+ miles done since start of loan. Headed down to Fl then back up to Mi with 3 stop load.

Truck has settled in finally it looks like, no longer using a gallon of oil every week. Bills are being paid here at house on time with a little to spare. I have not gotten first paycheck yet with leash just company pay. So leash paychecks will be more. As such I can say we will be in the red with house bills once again ☺

Now for all the little nitty gritty stuff that helps to keep as much as possible. Looking into ez pass for tolls. Plus all the other helper things. We have a good accountant that has trucker clients. Been with him for few years so don't have to worry there.

Figuring out best states to fuel at and which truck stops to do it at. Luckily home state Tn is cheapest and we have a few Loves here. It's on the route most times just need to figure when its not.

Still waiting to hear about APU , will be after Xmas I am sure. That will be a day hook up, but so worth it. Truck doing good on fuel getting 5.8 to 7.5 depending on wind and road and trailer/wings or not. We are looking into changing rear geers in near future to improve it.

Lots of things to look into and plan on. But hubby is getting all the miles he wants and is happy with truck. I am happy with income and that I can come along as I choose too.

Now we have to get our inverter installed so we can cook in the truck.

Are you guys responsible to pay your own tolls? Wait til you get the statement from prepass your first time you'll be lookin at every way possible to avoid them things. I know sometimes it's not possible but I know I'm lookin for alternatives every trip. HATED that first statement I got cuz I kept thinkin that's a car payment!

Right now we are paying tolls. We go around most but Chicago it easier to do toll roads. So were thinking that it might be worth so we don't have to have cash on us.

Chicago can indeed be a beech. I just fight 41 and 94 cuz I'm a right tight cobber, altho if/when I'm runnin thru there at rush hour I'll prolly take the toll road.

Company may provide EZ pass if you agree to take x amount of loads to the north east, but that's a fleet thing, warehouse you may be on your own.

No think he will pass on company ez pass. He is getting more than enough miles without having to go northeast. Spent way to much time there with OD.

Speaking of OD we just heard from ex partner there. They switched doctors again back to ones they were using before hubby started driving with them. They switched because those doctors were failing a lot of drivers. Well, there doing it again plus lyeing about conditions. So doctors are crooked and doing it for the money. We have this on good word as ex partners new partner has been put down as diabetic and is not. His own doctor is fighting it and he is going back to work doctors weekly. This just started this last month. So glad hubby left when he did.

So he is on his way to Fl with two stops there. Plus one pick up for Indiana. After that it will be home, can't wait to see him home again. The miles this week are over 2800. He has yet too add it all up.

When his ex partner is looking for miles hubby is trying to find how to do what he has been given. He stopped in Atlanta and got ac worked on before going to Fl. Weather is like it was ten years ago. We are in the 70s here Fl is in the 80s. Not typical winter by far, thanks to El Nino effects. I just pray we don't get the drought that followed ten years ago too.

Well, hubby is on his way home for Christmas. He has gotten his last company check and his first Leased OP check. I am very happy. We have not seen money like that since one team run with OD where they booked in at 3500 miles for the week. Even with paying out all expenses on truck and fuel plus pet policy payment I have enough to pay 3 big bills all due at once plus have some left over. These bills include new Ram truck monthly payment it is a 2500 diesel, the insurance on said truck for next 4 months and loan we took out for roof plus what we needed to get us threw those six weeks on company pay. Gads it is great to feel that feeling again called no worry money is there. Wishing Everyone a very Happy and Merry Christmas.
