I’m waiting on delivery of an engine. I’m replacing not rebuilding. That way I have a warranty.

Yes, all good. We got rain today. Hubby is driving to Wisconsin. Enjoying the warmer weather. Bills are getting paid. Now making plans for other animal projects since will be selling off large livestock. Seriously thinking of getting back into my freshwater aquatic breeding of plants and certain fish. But that will be after we move for fish. Working on plants though as they are lower maintenance.

Truck wise hubby having issue with back bunker heater/cooler fan. Breaker over heating even though replaced. Needs to be redone again since shop did it. He is talking about switching tires back to dislikes instead of super singles. Way cheaper to replace and safer when one blows.

I too am enjoying break in weather. Repairs are always so frustrating. He sure has had to endure a lot of that mess. I don' think those super tired save enough to justify cost or as you said safety concerns. I'e noticed the megas which were trying them out have mostly switched back.

Oh here is new news. Truck air dryer froze up so he got it fixed on the road or so he thought. First stop and repair made him one day late for drop off. Now 50 miles after first repair he is getting it done again. Guess they didn't replace the cartridge in the air dryer. Hubby thinks someone at corporate shop is telling them not to replace it. He is having zero luck this week with shop work.
Having to fix same thing twice in one day is crazy.

Yeah, once my motor is paid off, I’m considering going elsewhere. I swear the office and shop have higher turnover rates than drivers. They are more worried about saving a dime now rather than a dollar later.

That's a fact jack. They need someone who has some business savvy and mechanical know how to run that shop. Not having stuff in stock that is used alot is stupid as it slows down repair and keeps drivers off the road.

I sound like I’m at a truck stop complaining at the drivers table.

I have a non SmartA** question. If your husband is buying the truck, then why does the shop have any say in what happens with his truck?

It's still owned by company till it's finally paid. But it's also in contract that all repairs must be done. We have it on word guy in charge of parts said work around it no part bought. So same repair twice when correct part would have fixed it right. Jeryrigging is Not cost effective. It just asking for major breakdown and more costly repair.
