Just heard head good they are cleaning it. He will have it back in the morning. He says when they test idle it it was sounding like when he first got it. This will take care of low milage some we hope. I know fuel controls some of it too. But he was loosing a gallon every day there at the end.

Well, hubby is back in his truck and on a 3 stop load south.
So he has a new radiator, engine head has been cleaned and three gaskets replaced. There was the ac condenser that was replaced too. So almost everything under hood is new now. Last thing will be windsheild wiper motor and a few hoses.
Hubby says fuel milage is back up to where it should be mid 6 instead of 4. He says truck is running like when he first got it. We should not be in the red as he was running trailers around in city by request of owner. 9 more months to go to title. Hubby is very happy now that engine is done.
It was down to do but one of the under bosses told mechanic not too. As I mentioned before owner was not at all happy to hear that. He has been keeping a close eye on the shop since hubby's talk with him.

Too many things are slipping by him. The owner is actually a really good guy. Sucks he has those that try to undermine him

Very true Wickedfire77. Hopefully Mike from Breakdown who is working in parts to help straightenout that Dept will be listened too now. He is to go over the shop next we hear.
Needless to say hubby and owner are on great terms now. Hubby got rid of 9 junk trailers for him and he made sure mechanics gave his truck a real going over. That's the way to run a company Team work not back stabbing. Hopefully this really turns the shop around to be much better.

Oh my I just sold my whole here of goats today. Plans are to have them all gone by time Sky's last litter leaves. So end of June start of July. At that point house will be setup up for in laws and low maintenance since I can't really count on brother in law for much. Basically fishtank on timer cat's food and water for two weeks. I will be paying bills mostly on the road we will come back end of each month or every two weeks. But I will not be living at home anymore. Hubby said so way back that it was time for me to come with him permanent. We're hoping his brother wakes up and gets his DL again. We're far enough from town taxi is not real cheap. Not sure I want to be around when they get into this when hubby comes home end of month a lays down the new law.

On truck side bad news it AC had to be recharge as hose blew and hubby had to fix that But that was expected as they gave home the hose before he left. So that's all done tonight. But after this run he goes back to shop to get another oil leak fixed. After looking at it today he thinks it leaking at radiator hose connection. But it looks like it might be dealing too.
But he must be home by the 30 as we have tickets to Home Free concert that we bought months ago.

Hubby out of TX and will be back in MI tomorrow. He will be recapping since getting there to late to have truck worked on. Which is OK because he needs to run before coming home. He is still getting his good fuel milage even did paper figures twice and getting 6. So that's good. He still needs to wash engine to see if what he did helped. It might have been that simple as tightening a few bolts if not then those seals will need replacement. We know these leaking now we're not touched in that way.

When he first joined the company I went with him. Spent all of fall and first two months of winter in truck with him. Next year did about the same but not this past. We even had both dogs with us for a couple of months.

Hubby and I get along just fine we early have fights. When we do it's about who's right. LOL He is 8 years me jr and I grew up on a island of Miami, FL and he grew up on family farm in small town in PA.

So I have no problems being in truck for months on end. Last time in winter I did have a issue but that was weather related. My left lower leg and heal hurt like the Dickens. Cramped up do to cold and just felt like a bone spur on heal. Even after I was home I still had it for a couple of weeks. Took alot of magnesium and Arnicare gel to unwork it. Not too mention hot baths. I have come to the conclusion it was do not only to cold but minor dehydration as I don't drink much. It's threaten a few times and drinking water and taking a magnesium tablet stop it. I will make sure to have that with me and take it daily.
