Are you keeping the same truck? Sometimes they tell you it's not available
-
Good luck and be safe!
-
Hope you do well with the lease.

Yes we are keeping same truck. It will not be cheap and we do have issues that will have to be fixed over time. New stacks for one and top roof. Both are leaking bad. Repair s have been done and are only holding for short time. Another is ac doesn't hold free on. So that will need to be addressed also. But our cb is hard wired into the truck. There are all sorts on minor issues. But that is expected. I expect there highest payment on this one. Time will tell.
From what I do know they are weeding out all trucks with 13 shifts. They want to stay with the 10s for fleet and company. So all 13s are to go into the l/p program. Ours is a 13 shift and this baby has had major engine problems in the past. This one we are breaking in makes it the third they have put in over three years. We have that from the company driver that drove it plus the mechanics. Were sucking oil a gallon a week. But engine is still in break in period.
So we shall see what happens on Tuesday. -
Good luck to you both sounds like some real problems with the truck I wouldn't sign the lease without the repairs being done first.
mxpx148 Thanks this. -
I hope you have considered this and I do wish the best for both of you.Rock 'n Roll Relocater Thanks this. -
I wish you the best.

I didn't see @Cybercat what type of truck is it? I was under the impression before you sign a lease that all problems that are found with the truck are to be fixed beforehand? Maybe I'm wrong? With a leak in the roof I'm guessing this truck has a skylight type window that needs to be resealed? 3 engines in three years???? My thought would be that it's pretty obvious why this is no longer a company truck and now is a lease truck...
Hope it works out for you... -
I wish you both the best of luck, but like some others here have pointed out the truck sounds like it has some expensive repairs coming. I would make sure they fix all the major issues before signing anything.
