It seems that no matter where you go in this country that involves a Kroger facility it turns into an abortion.
Sitting here in Sanger Tx waiting to get my 48 boxes of imported Chinese garbage unloaded.

do you get dention pay? -
Yes, I put in for 5 1/2 hours. Made my 2nd stop delivery at Tropicana a few miles away. Waited for a couple hours and sent a message asking if there was anything for me. Got a pickup in Cheyenne, WY and then 3 stops back in Denver. Get this, the shipper section just showed Cheyenne. So I sent my usual I'm confused message. Got a message back that I am swapping with a team and their number. Gee that would have been helpful without me having to ask about it. I call them and leave a message. Since I got no answer I think I am just gonna hang out 11 more hours and do a reset. I think that would be the best for me so I can have full hours to try to make it home. Just talked to my swap and he said he has one stop on there to do in the morning so my reset and run up there would work out perfect. Now hopefully I can get the other stops off without a hitch and they can get me back.

Been an interesting few days. Did a hp load to Hartsdale NY then for a backhaul dropped my mty in York PA bobtailed hop! Strasburg VA and picked up a mty reefer for Sabra. Got back to the yard and was assignedd a load to TN which I didn't have the hours to do so got a Newington CT load instead. Another hp load and plenty of time to get there. Sailed all the way up with hardly any traffic. Of course the GW was atrocious, but I hear that is the norm. That was only the 2nd time in my life I have ever been that way. It was ok. Only almost lost my seat cushion once! LOL. Spent the night at the consigned and woke up to a load out of Somerset NJ to dollar Tree in Chesapeake.
I was almost on 13 in DE when my Qualcomm started going nuts. They wanted me to turn around and swap with someone in Vineland for a load to Elkton. Um, no, I wouldn't have been able to wade thru the traffic nightmare on the del mem br and get the load there and this guy was totally out of hours so the load I had would've been late. What kind of bs is that? I called and talked to the fm that was trying to do it and explained nicely that what he was trying to do would not work. I don't think he was too happy, but really don't care. They should've planned better.
Now waiting at Givens for a load. Lucked out and the container is here early and i am being loaded. It is 9 am! Woo hoo a night at home and then off to Rock Island IL. Anyone been there no directions in our ssystem.
Y'all be safe. -

Been sorta nuts on my end. I got this new Kenworth and I have been dealing with the "new truck issues". Inverter is giving me grief, there is a callback on the fuel sensor, and I am not sure the coolant sensor actually read its job description. The fuel sensor was bouncing back and forth between full and empty, and everytime it did, there was a "ding". It got to the point that it was starting to sound like a teenager on crack playing with a doorbell, so I disconnected it from the fuel tank. The other two issues are going to have to be fixed over time.
Graduated my first trainee today. He did really well and after a few days, it all came back to him (he drove a few years ago). Actually, he was a fast study and picked up on all the Abilene-specific stuff rather quickly. Wishing him the best.... Go Get 'Em, PreacherMan Trk#1258
Gonna run for another week and then head home. Headed out tomorrow morning from the yard with an HP load going to Dania Beach, FL.
BTW, my little lady and I are going to be tying the knot on the 28th of this month, so PLEASE refrain from calling me that night (hehehehehe)(couldn't resist)
