So, for a while, I had no offers for a job on the table. Now, I got 3 companies interested. Not sure which one is best so I figured I come to yall for some advice, or a sound drubbing, whichever is appropriate.

The 3 companies that I'm looking at are Napa Transportation, out of Mechanicsburg, PA, L&H Trucking out of Hanover, PA but with a terminal in Hazleton as well, and Paul Miller Trucking, out of Spring Grove, PA (near Hanover.)

All 3 are regional, out 5 days home for the weekend for the most part. Pay average seems pretty similar, except that Napa has per diem, which I'm not really interested in. But, Napa lets you take the truck home on the weekend, whereas the other 2 don't. So with L&H I'd have an hour and 15 minute commute to the Hazleton terminal once a week, for PMT it'd be about an hour and a half.

I checked some info on Safestat. L&H has the best ISSD of 35, and shows 230 power units. Napa has an ISSD of of 98 (yikes!) and 150 power units, and PMT shows an ISSD of 68 with 33 unites. Looks like L&H is the safest of the 3, but also has the most units. I like smaller companies, usually, for the family atmosphere.

Now, what I'm wondering is if anyone has any info of these companies like how hard they run you, if they expect you to work over your hours or expect you to run 100% legal, etc. All 3 have qualcomms I believe, so I'd rather run as legal as possible to avoid any problems.

Anyway, atm I'm kind of leaning towards PMT as they also run flatbed. But I also like Napa because I can take the truck home. That ISSD score scares the crap out of me though. My buddy is currently running for them and say the trucks are in good repair, and that they are looking at buying a bunch of new trucks soon and will be putting APUs on them.

Long story short, I'm torn. So any info the hands here can provide on these companies would be appreciated. :biggrin_25514:

L&H has decent equipment from what I've seen. Napa's trucks are on the lower end, and I can't recall ever seeing a PMT company driver...they're mostly O/O.

Can't say how any of them run you, though flatbed around here seems slow based on what I see deiving around.
