You don't get to call someone a noob if you are not driving yet.

Especially when you are not even driving yet and posting, "I want home time...."

You are not even a window licker yet. Just a computer screen licker!

I have no idea WHETHER you were mocking me or not. Its too hard to read without puncuation & misspelled words. Sorry I dont have a million miles yet. I DO take my job very seriously though. Was just trying to get the point out there that you dont have to settle for a big starter company to get your experience.

If home time is a concern then you need to stop right there and reconsider! Most companies will boast about their home time just to get you to sign on. This is just a ploy. You can pretty much plan on 6-8 weeks at a time as this is the standard across the board. This is also the average time out in which you will need to run to make any kind of money out there. Keep in mind that every time you go home it messes up three weeks of pay. The first week you slow down trying to get home, the second week you have off and the third week is slow going trying to get back into the freight lanes. So if you are staying out for less than a month you can see that making any amount of money will be tough.

Once again, if home time is a concern and if you are choosing a company based on home time then you really need to reconsider this profession! I can assure you that this career is not for you. This is the number one reason for new drivers quitting in the first few months! Its really hard to fathom that you are out for 6-8 weeks at a time and then only have 3-4 days off max and then you are back out there for another two months straight! It usually only takes a cycle or two before new drivers realize that this is a lifestyle and not a job. You have to really want to live in that truck in order to make it out there!

Do yourself a huge favor and try to find another avenue of employment. This will save you lots of time and heaps of money!
