I was told that when I get to a truckstop to be attentive to the story a driver was telling. Then I was told at the very next truckstop I go to, if I here that same story only with a slight twist or two, get up and leave, because its all *the same old story*. For an example, a guy saying he bought a brand spanking new pick up truck. Then he goes to turn the windshield wipers on for the very first rain storm, and one of the wipers flies off the truck. You know, I did hear that story, at least every few weeks. Man, I hated getting up and changing my seat at the truckstop.

That's great advice!
My input would be to remember this........
Be responsible for YOURSELF!
I say this in the aspect of, only you will be held accountable in about 99.9999999% of any and all situations!
So, use the smith system, get out and look, don't drive tired, drive defensively, stay away from trouble, don't pick up pennies that are heads up (or is it tails?, Heck, a penny saved.......)
Bottom line, only YOU can prevent bad things from happening. Don't try and blame someone else when something happens to you. Be an adult, and take that responsibility.
Stick
Oh yeah, also, Don't Worry!
Half of what you worry about is not going to happen.
The other half is going to happen anyway!
So why waste your time worrying about it!? -
great advice!!! and very true too.
