    I have only loaded out of there twice and both loads were back towards High Point to get me home.

    It depends on the school schedule. The hazmat school is in Kingsport is not required before going out with a trainer. I have heard about guys doing more OTR than others. A busy place like Memphis will want you to learn their customers hence the local work. Someplace like Springfield might be more OTR.

    Do either of you know anything about the Charlotte terminal, and what they usually run? I have been there for a tank wash a couple of times, but never thought to talk to them about a job.

    How much of their freight is hazmat, as I let mine expire, and would need to get them again.

    Quick reply to your questions..

    Don't know much about the charlotte terminal I think wsrob is out of one of the Carolina terminals he may have some insight on that for u I am out of Memphis
    I can say u will be running system freight sorta regional in a since unless u get a dedicated or local account which they do have.

    About 50% of our freight at superior is hazmat so u will need your endorsement before hiring on per company policy..
    However, carry transit our sister company is also owned by SBL as is superior . Carry hauls 0% hazmat as they are our foodgrade division.

    You can hire on with carry and do a company transfer (inter company) just a division swap. After you get your hazmat endor on your lic.

    I don't go to the Charlotte terminal much. Its only 78 miles away from my home terminal in High Point. I have been there once when they had me deliver a load to High Point mainly because they needed to get the tank tested and High Point is where the tank shop is. That was the only time I got a little angry at dispatch. The load delivered the next day at 6 AM and that was all the work they had for me. They had me sit in Charlotte 14 hours waiting for it. I got 78 miles the day before and only 27 and a delivery payment. When I complained they had me do some local work after that 6 AM delivery so it worked out.

    Well, you guys have made a believer out of me. I just fineshed an on-line app. and will be calling the terminal in Cincinatti, Oh. and Norwood, Oh. on Monday morning to see if they are hiring. Thanks for all the helpful info. guys
