Lighter, hot water, light taps with a hammer, screwdriver...

What do you drive? Sometimes there's some really creative ways to get inside those...

I have heated the key with a cigaretter lighter and that worked. Let the key get real hot.

I always carry windshield deicer, large can,not the small injector type.
liberally spray the door, handle, and key.
I buy it up in spring at all the dollar stores.
works great on windows, and cuts down scraper time.

Ive used it once in my pv when ice froze OVER the lock. Wasn't positive if the op was having the same issue.

I would never use water inside a lock though, no. Should've clarified that.

Hi RERM, it's a pain once they are frozen, but once you do get it unstuck, WD-40 is the best bet. It displaces moisture for the next time.
