I was wondering what type of fuel card you use. What sets it apart? Would you reccomend it to others? Does it offer discounts? How large is the network?

    Thanks,
    Stephen

Our company uses Pacific Pride. Locations are close.

The company I'm with uses EFS. It's simple enough to deal with, haven't had any real trouble with it. Discounts are negotiated through the company, so it wouldn't matter which fuel card we used.

I use fleetone fuel card via NASTC. Good discounts on fuel, but will cost you $250 annual dues to join. You will get that back very quickly though. You have to settle the bill weekly thru your bank account.
Def worth a look. I have no regrets. Most of the fuel stops are the TA/ Petro chain with a bunch of independents.
    Good luck

My company recently switched to EFS from Comdata. The only difference I've noticed is the EFS card has a $800/225 gallon limit rather than the old $500 limit with Comdata.

FPS we get cost plus fuel at Flying J and Pilot. No charges for cash advances. Very competetive pricing. Petro Canada offers comparable pricing in Canada. Comdata for cost plus at Petro, TA, Loves and AMBEST. Again no charge for cash advance. None of our cards have transaction fees.

My company is very aggressive when it comes to fuel pricing. Average savings is 23 cents/gallon over cash price right now, usually it's more.

We don't have any limits that I'm aware of. I've pumped 200+gallons of fuel, 20 gallons of def, and 60 gallons more diesel for the reefer...no problem.

We use Comdata.....No issues in the last few years with them and a 1200 dollar a day limit.

That's right. Fuel card providers do not have any limitations on how much money you want to spend from your fuel card. The trucking companies put those limits up!!! For whatever reason they do it...
