Hi guys. I'm a new authority in Massachusetts. I'll be active next week (I've owned my truck and been a lease on for several years though).

What are my best options for a deep discount fuel card? I'll mostly be fueling at TA but also Pilot sometimes.

I've looked into joining NASTC but at close to $900 per year, I'm not sure.

    Comdata?

    Fuel man?

    Wex?

Thanks , I need to sign up quick. Next week I'll be running on my own.

I was quoted $300 per year, plus a $100 one time setup fee. Then $38 per year.

It doesn't make sense for me now because I already have a drug consortium for this year.

With BP just bought out TA wonder if that big fuel discount will go by the wayside. I think it is still too early to know.

I am happy with EFS through WEX now. Not much to speak of discounts at majors, 0.14 ta/p and 0.10 pfj 0.04 Loves. Many Ambest, Sapp, Kwik Trip out WI/MN way, up here the whole Esso/Husky network.

Others have said Mudflap is decent as well. If you are using pilot because they're all there is in your operating area they offer some kind of in house program.

    South of heaven Thanks this.

Not sure the start up costs...but NASTC is running a buck or more below pump price....
Probably add up to way more than start up costs

Both Pilot and Loves have a option where you put $1,000.00 in escrow and then they draw off the escrow when you purchase fuel. Was not great discounts, but .05 less than cash, if I remember right.

I am reading all the above comments and thinking, why hasn't anyone mention mudflap. If you don't know what that is, you are missing on some good discounts, as right now anyways.

    TylerVS and Dadetrucking305 Thank this.

I don't run the NE often, not sure if these cards are good in your area.

I use transconnect, fuel-tech and mudflap. Each account has a strong area in the US for discounts and number of options.
Fuel-tech gave me the best price in Hagerstown, MD last week at ACT.

Mudflap if they have a network near you. Setup with Amazon and get their Comdata to get cost plus at TA/Petro and .32 off at Loves.
I have a Fleet One Edge and Schneider just gave me cost plus when they called and asked why I hadn’t been using the .25 off rider they gave me. All of those are free to get with no NASTC BS.
