I'm sorry but bio diesel is worthless I refuse to run that crap in my tractor its a government scam. E-85 was a flop. I will agree with you though they're hiking up oil prices on us...raise the price of corn soybeans wheat etc. They want $XXX for a barrel of oil fine...were charging you $XXXX/Bushell of grain. They wanna play hard ball we can play hardball but alas congress is too stupid to see that.

Drilling Alaska would help as well but the greenies don't want that:biggrin_2552:

The cost of crude oil is set on the world market by global demand. Drilling anywhere in the US will have no impact on that cost... except to drain our own reserves to feed the demand in China, India and East Asia.

You "refuse"? How do you do that when EPA says it must contain XX% of bio to XX% of fossil fuel? Do you feel the same about 10% ETOH? Good luck finding gas with no corn in it.

Why do you have a problem with bio?

A barrel of oil is traded in dollars. The dollar is practically worthless. So it takes more dollars to buy a barrel of oil. That's why oil is so high.

i actually like bio fuel. i get better mileage. if it's done right. but most often it's done wrong. and the result is plugged fuel filters.

as for ethanol. someone needs to look at the long term effects of how ethanol turns to grain.

park your motorcycle for the winter. then pull the bowls come spring time.

If diesel prices reach $12/gal, better plan on purchasing a 6 horsepower covered wagon. This economy would tank for sure. Just have to go back to doing things the old fashioned way and get used to it.

300 % increse means plus 3 times as much = 16 $ a gallon. Rates would not need to triple in your math or mine beacause a rate is combination of fuel cost and others. Anyways,,,, lets leave the current ethanol level the same, shall we?
